Riding My First UTV - Exciting!

I heard about riding UTVs for the first time from a good friend of mine. It was confusing at first, because I didn't know what he was talking about, but then i asked him "What's a UTV? Do you mean ATV?". There are UTVs (Utility Terrain Vehicles) and ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles). It was just that I didn’t know their differences. Apparently a UTV is bigger, can carry more than one person, and you can load more onto it.

I was never an adventurous person, and as a kid, whenever my friends would ask me to do something, I would always say "Maybe next time"’. But now I was curious about the UTV that my friends were raving about. My curiosity won and I looked up the information online about UTVs. It was then that I realized I really wanted to try one out. I watched videos of people riding their  UTVs, going on the trails, having the time of their lives braving the most difficult terrains. Needless to say, I was jealous. For the first time, I felt the surge in my veins and the excitement  to want to ride my own UTV.

That was a few years ago and right after that, I bought my UTV to satisfy my adventurous side. I've witnessed how versatile this machine is as me and my friends blasted through the trails. It was just like how I saw it on the screen, huge, tough and mean. When I went out for my first ride, I never felt afraid of anything that nature could throw at me. I felt completely secure in taking those rocky roads on.

My UTV was able to take on many difficult situations and come out of it like nothing happened. The first time I rode on an off-road trail adventure, my group planned to also go kayaking on a lake afterwards. On that day, we prepared all our accessories and tools. I strapped my Sun Dolphin Bali 10 SS to  the roof of my UTV. I knew the terrain would be rough, so I made sure to secure the kayak nice and tight.. Before driving off, I made sure that the ties were strong enough to hold the kayak tightly on the roof.

I took preparations, both in my mind and all the things we were going to need. Basically, this was a two-part adventure – with the UTV taking us to our kayaking destination amidst the muddy, difficult trails that seemed determined to be a pain, and the second one was with kayaking on the lake that we’d heard was quite a challenge. I bought my UTV accessories online, so at first,  I was not completely confident. But, after my first ride to go kayaking, I was satisfied at how tight the boat was held onto the roof. It was a bumpy ride, but everything was just fine. I had a nice stereo system installed, so I blasted my music the whole way. It was one of  the best UTV rides I've ever been on!
